Doberman Adoption Process with Hand Me Down Dobes

We are currently accepting applications in most of Ohio, and the bordering areas of Michigan, West Virginia, Northern Kentucky, Northwest Pennsylvania, and Indiana. (This limited area is due to our requirement for one of our qualified volunteers to perform a visit in your home as part of the adoption process.)

1. Application: You must complete an application in order for the adoption process to move forward.

2. Evaluation: We will use your application to get a general idea of what characteristics you are looking for in a pet. We will also contact your veterinarian for a reference.

3. Visitation: We perform home visits to the homes of all prospective adopters. This visit allows us to get to know you and the environment in which the dog will live. It helps us better determine which dog is the best match for your household and lifestyle.

4. Connection: Our adoption success rate is quite high and we are proud of our program and its standards. If we do not currently have a dog in the program that matches your needs, we will retain your application until one finds its way to us. We encourage you to check our website regularly for new dogs that may be more compatible with your family. Keep in mind that you may like the look of a particular dog, but that does not necessarily mean the dog's personality is a match for your family or lifestyle.
